Perth & Fremantle

Embrace Perth's relaxed magic with a sunset drink on Cottlesloe Beach, a cruise down the Swan River or live music in inner-city enclaves. Walk Kings Park or the trails of nearby Yanchep National Park, visit one of the many museums & art galleries or spend an afternoon winetasting at a picturesque vineyard in Swan Valley. Perth offers something for everyone, and it is easy to spend several days in the city and its vicinity.

The historic port city of Fremantle lies on a series of limestone hills at the mouth of the Swan River, approximately 25 minutes from Perth. Many of the city’s most impressive heritage buildings are built from the pale-coloured local limestone. Central Fremantle is bounded to the north and east by the lower reaches of the Swan River and to the west by the Indian Ocean with stunning stretches of beach to the north of the city and to the south. Cycle paths along the southern side of the Swan River extend to Perth city and visitors can easily see rocky limestone formations along the route.

Rottnest Island’s unique natural attractions, fun family activities, network of walking and cycling trails, beaches and wildlife make it Western Australia’s premier island destination all year round.
